I’m Berk Kibarer<\/strong>, a technology executive, software architect, and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise architecture, distributed systems, and technology transformation. My work has evolved from large-scale test automation architecture into distributed execution platforms, cloud-native orchestration, resilience engineering.<\/p>\n

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of technology strategy, software architecture, and engineering leadership. From hands-on development to leading engineering teams and designing enterprise-scale platforms, my focus has been on building scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems while aligning technical decisions with long-term business objectives.<\/p>\n

Currently, I serve as Principal Architect for Distributed Systems & Platform Engineering at Intertech<\/strong>, where I lead the architecture of a cloud-native execution and orchestration platform. Initially focused on enterprise-scale test automation (web, mobile, api, integration, desktop), ARES is designed as a domain-agnostic platform to support durable loads,\u00a0 including data generation and long-running execution tasks.<\/p>\n

Previously, as a Software Development Manager at Turkcell Technology<\/strong>, I led engineering teams and technology transformation initiatives involving microservices, cloud-native applications, and enterprise platform modernization. One of my key contributions was Friday<\/strong>, an enterprise SaaS platform for test automation and quality engineering, comprising more than 12 integrated products. The platform unified engineering workflows, incorporated machine learning capabilities, and automated 65% of operational processes. During this period, I also worked on architecture governance, technical debt reduction, and engineering efficiency.<\/p>\n

Earlier in my career, I held architectural and engineering leadership roles at Testinium, Saha Bilgi Teknolojileri, Markafoni<\/strong>, and other technology organizations. My responsibilities ranged from designing high-performance backend systems and enterprise integrations to leading development teams, establishing engineering standards, and managing complex software ecosystems. These experiences gave me a broad technical foundation and a practical understanding of how architecture, people, and organizational structures influence engineering outcomes.<\/p>\n

Alongside my professional work, I maintain a strong interest in research, analytical modeling, and emerging technologies<\/strong>. My areas of exploration include artificial intelligence, machine learning, probabilistic forecasting, quantitative modeling, and software delivery analytics. I also write and publish technical articles, sharing practical insights into distributed systems, software architecture, engineering processes, and data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n

My approach to engineering is grounded in analytical thinking, architectural simplicity, and long-term sustainability. I believe that effective architecture is not about adopting the latest technologies or introducing unnecessary abstractions. It is about understanding constraints, managing complexity, making deliberate trade-offs, and designing systems that can evolve without becoming increasingly difficult to operate or maintain.<\/p>\n

Beyond the technical aspects, I’m particularly interested in how engineering organizations evolve, how teams make decisions, and how technology leadership can create lasting improvements in productivity, reliability, and business outcomes.<\/p>\n

I believe the ultimate purpose of technology is not to introduce complexity, but to solve meaningful problems through simple, sustainable, and well-engineered solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n
